The link to the Town of Jupiter homepage relating to the Jupiter Lighthouse ( http://history.jupiter.fl.us/lighthouse.htm) is broken; I don't know exactly what it was pointing to, but I've replaced it with http://history.jupiter.fl.us/HistoryWeb/KidsHistory/Jupiter-Lighthouse.cfm as that seems to be what they were getting at, judging by context of the article and the broken URL. If anyone knows what the old link was pointing to and can find it again on the Town of Jupiter website, feel free to correct it. -- Jepalmer 01:50, 18 October 2006 (UTC) reply

I live in Jupiter, FL and could contribute information about this growing and expanding town along with photos. However, I am new to wikipedia and don't know how to get the most out of everything.

In order to post photos, you have to have an account. It is easy to set one up. click on the create account thingy to get started. Oh, and I live in Jupiter too!-- The Republican 00:56, 22 September 2005 (UTC)The Republican reply

Thanks, I'll try to get the hang of this.

I know "Devon Daniels"...it's a stretch to include her in this article as a notable resident. I wouldn't say she's notable. I am not going to remove her, but I'd nominate her for removal, and if anyone else agrees, maybe that name could be removed.-TampaNole

I live in Jupiter Florida too! September 30, 2006 --Fastman99

  • It seems that some local residents have added themselves to the "Notable Residents" section-- I think they should probably be removed, unless they truly are notable. I believe that Tiger Woods, who definitely does count as notable, also has a property in or around Jupiter. Nchoe123 14:12, 14 March 2007 (UTC) reply
  • Please note that there are a lot of recognizable people (like Tiger Woods, Celine Dion, etc) that live in Jupiter Island, which is NOT Jupiter, as it is a city in Martin County.

I would like to make a minor edit pointing out that our neighbor, Burt Reynolds, just passed away. I'm wondering if anyone would object. --WeberPolitico — Preceding unsigned comment added by WeberPolitico ( talkcontribs) 18:14, 19 September 2018 (UTC) reply

Frank Rodriguez

This brilliant lawyer, legal academic and noted legal author lives in Jupiter and is clearly a notable resident. I added his name to the list today and it was quickly removed. I would suggest that Mr.Rodriguez's name should now be restored to the list. Mgr.James Horan Decd. 19:05, 21 June 2007 (UTC) reply

High school ratings

I removed a statement about both high schools having an "A" rating because it is not true according to The Florida department of education. -- DRoll ( talk) 01:29, 15 May 2008 (UTC) reply

residents and sources

I radically trimmed the resident list. Most had no citation and their own bio article didn't even say they were from this Jupiter. Several, were from different communities, with a similiar name. I suggest in future names only be added with sources. Otherwise, they should be removed, before we build-up another error-filled list. -- Rob ( talk) 06:37, 29 May 2008 (UTC) reply

Jupiter Farms

I noticed that there isn't a section or an inclusion into a section about Jupiter Farms. Should there be a section or inclusion made to add a large unincorporation such as Jupiter Farms to Jupiter, Florida or should it be created as a village/community? Just interested in adding the lesser known community to the west of Jupiter, Florida to Wikipedia. Any suggestions/comments are helpful. WillDannerIV ( talk) 19:14, 19 January 2009 (UTC) reply

If a place warrants mention, you normally first mention it in the lowest level article that physically contains it (which you indicate, isn't the town of Jupiter). Is it in one the sub entities mentioned in Palm Beach County, Florida? If so, go to that article, and mention it, after discussing it on the talk page. -- Rob ( talk) 21:17, 19 January 2009 (UTC) reply

Thanks for the reply. I looked through the list of sub entities mentioned on Palm Beach County, Florida and Jupiter, FL. I didn't find Jupiter Farms listed in either place. Jupiter Farms isn't a town or village, it's more of a large community in Unincorporated Palm Beach County Florida. After Review I think it probably should be added or mentioned on Palm Beach County, Florida -- Will Danner IV ( talk) 23:40, 21 January 2009 (UTC) reply

Notable residents

Hugh Howley of dust fame deserves insertion, and -maybe- Mckenzee coburn on real world? http://www.amazon.com/Hugh-Howey/e/B002RX4S5Q/ref=ntt_athr_dp_pel_1 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.131.50.20 ( talk) 22:42, 14 February 2014 (UTC) reply

Our neighbor - Burt Reynolds - just passed away. I would like add this to the info near his link if no one objects. --WeberPoltico — Preceding unsigned comment added by WeberPolitico ( talkcontribs) 18:17, 19 September 2018 (UTC) reply
