Instagram as a source

Hello editors,

Information concerning a music video release by Ahn of "When I Call" was added with an Instagram citation with this edit: [1]. I initially reverted the edit citing a need for reliable sources, then rethought after reviewing guidelines: [2], although it is a verified account of Ahn, the Instagram note does not specifically state the name of the video he is releasing. In addition, I believe I am correct, for edits about music releases coming from social media accounts, whether self-published or not....if it was vital enough, we would be finding more media reports of it. And this should not be an editing trend.

I have reached out to interested editor Alexanderlee for discussion on my talk page, and we have decided to open it up here.

Is an Instagram edit sufficient for this information that was added? Thank you.-- Bonnielou2013 ( talk) 05:20, 27 November 2017 (UTC) reply

Due to the initial edit source (an Instagram post) not providing name or date of any music video release, I removed it, pending further discussion here on Instagram as a reliable source, in general.-- Bonnielou2013 ( talk) 08:08, 27 November 2017 (UTC) reply
