So this page is very confusing. The Jefferson County Fire Service is not actually a department. It is a "loose confederation of the 17 independent fire protection districts". So, with this week's news it's clear this article is in need of some TLC, with out-of-date statistics, unclear references, references to long-past events as contemporary, and more.
