I have restored the sortable option for the medallist tables.
Certainly the template needs to be improved or replaced to allow correct sorting on the times (and an additional column for "notes" would also be useful). In the meantime, it is definitely better to have the sortable option available. It works fine on sorting the years, which is useful both for our readers (some will prefer ascending order, others descending) and for editors wishing to check the data against other sources, which may come in either order. And technically the sorting does in fact work correctly on the remaining columns - it sorts on athlete name, which is useful for anyone wishing to know, for instance, how many times an athlete achieved a given medal place (and to check the medal templates on the triathlete bios!).
Yes, it would be nice to have a template that allowed sorting on the times (making it easier, for example, to check course records), but in the meantime it is definitely better to have the sortable option available.

Why is the Hawaijan world championship classed as an ultra triathlon on Wikipedia? Ultra refers to a double, triple etc. Ironman (full distance), where as this is a normal full distance 2.4-112-26.2. 2001:14BB:11D:DDD:74DD:676B:B727:2301 ( talk) 20:49, 18 February 2023 (UTC)
