Number of lanes
I changed the claim of I-75 briefly having 9 northbound lanes just north of I-285 to 8 NB lanes.
This satellite photo shows only 8 NB lanes, with 4 coming from I-75 south of I-285, and 4 lanes coming from I-285 (2 from EB, 2 from WB I-285). I could find no combination of lanes (continuous I-75, lanes from I-285 EB or I-285 WB, or exit lane to Windy Hill Road) that gives 9 lanes. 8 lanes appears to be the maximum, unless this photo is out of date and there's another source. I drove this area in January 2005, and like a road geek, counted the lanes. I remember several occurences of 8 lanes but not 9. Is there a newer source to prove me wrong? Thanks.

I checked it out myself, and there are indeed 9 at one point – but it's a bit farther north,
beyond Windy Hill. –

Does a merge lane really count as a lane? It's not even continuous to the next exit (e.g. as an exit-only lane, which some would still not even consider a lane (although I would)).

Statewide View
The introduction has only an Atlanta-wide view, while the article is supposed to cover all of Georgia. Can this be corrected?

It talks about following the route of US 41 throughout the state and discusses its name from the Atlanta to the TN line (and ignoring namings within metro Atlanta). That seems pretty statewide. —C.Fred (

Larry McDonald
I swear that the Larry McDonald Freeway sign has been there since before 1998. I seem to remember it even in the 1980's. Can anyone verify this date?

Suggestion for inclusion.
It would be nice to have a history section such as that of
Interstate 285. The history of when construction began, problems they had (home losses and so forth) and completion dates would be ideal for the article. My Mother's family lived in a house that was removed for the construction of I-20, I believe. They were forced to move to another part of town entirely. In any case, this information is necessary for encyclopedic entries. At least, I believe so. I don't presently have a way to research this, else I'd write it myself.

Old exit numbers column
I suggest we remove the old exit numbers column. It's saying that exit 241 was formerly 87 and 242 was formerly 87A. Per my knowledge, 242 was formerly simply 87. Given how long ago 2000 was, I don't think we'll ever be able to correct this column, so I suggest we remove it. Any objections??

Old Georgia highway maps or route logs exist that can be used as a source for exit numbers. So is this a suggestion to remove the old exit numbers column because several of them are wrong (but can be corrected) or a suggestion to remove the old exit numbers column for another reason? Downtown Connector
The
Downtown Connector article is the only Wikipedia article on a division of an Interstate highway to a greater extent than specifying the state it's in. It's specifically about the part of I-75 in Downtown Atlanta. Any thoughts anyone has?? (Feel free to disprove me an reveal that there's another Wikipedia article of this kind if you can.)

In this case, I would merge the content from the Downtown Connector article into both the I-75 and I-85 articles as appropriate. Then that article can be either redirected to I-75 or converted into a set index article. It is my understanding that the DC is coterminous with the concurrent section of I-75/I-85. In other words, the name is only applied to the segment of freeway where the those two highways designations overlap, and it doesn't extend any further. In the end, you'd get a three-line article like:
The Downtown Connector is a freeway in downtown
Atlanta, Georgia, which carries the overlapping sections of:

Here's a couple of things I discovered while fixing some bannered routes of
U.S. Route 341 and the state highways they have concurrencies with. Exit 138 is actually Perry Parkway, which in this segment is
U.S. Route 341 Bypass (Perry, Georgia) and
Georgia State Route 11 Connector (Perry). Yet it's still signed as being for Thompson Road, despite the fact that the interchange is north of Thompson Road, which itself is cut off by I-75. Shouldn't we add these notes to the exit list, until GDOT decides to replace the signs? ---------

According to google maps street view now, US 341 was rerouted to the bypass, US 341 bypass was demolished, and the new sign says just “Perry Parkway” with the shields. Hope that helps.

Recently a new stand-alone article has been created specifically for the South Metro Express Lanes, which I do not believe achieved
notability standard for WikiProject U.S. Roads. Since these are I-75 lanes, all history and information should be in this article and not split out. --

Oppose, the projects have plenty of media coverage, dwarf other in-state Interstate projects in costs in scope that have articles i.e.
Tom Moreland Interchange, and as noted above, other managed lanes articles exist.
