The passage in the lead that I presume you're objecting to has proper citations. WP:PROVEIT applies if you think it's wrong. Also, Hughes Aircraft was owned by a non-profit, HHMI, for most of its history. This is an important distinction from being a non-profit itself; it certainly wasn't according to anything I've read.
