Thought the following were pretty interesting. Maybe someone more familiar with the area might want to include something from these:

Some history of the new terminal should be included. I'll try to write it sometime in the future. I think a large new terminal was planned for the area where the Lockheed facilities were but the plan was later scrapped. I think the plan was created in the early to mid 1990's. I removed the incorrect statement in the "Film Location" section stating that the Bob Hope airport was used to film the Berlin Airport scene in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. This was in fact filmed at the Treasure Island Naval Base in San Francisco (see image on right).
Can anyone provide sources for the rest of the films purported to have shot at the Bob Hope airpiort? This whole page is in desperate need of further citations. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Notecardforfree ( talk • contribs) 19:33, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Bob Hope is an international airport. Shouldn't someone go through and correct that? I did it once and someone undid my edit. Chicken0895 ( talk) 23:55, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
Will someone please improve this article, i.e. the infobox...maybe incorporate the logo and official image of the airport? I've improved 2 airport articles so far and I'm tired :( Ssredg ( talk) 06:08, 4 December 2013 (UTC)
Made some improvements / enhancements under the "Bus" section. Enjoy! Ssredg ( talk) 20:26, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
I just flew into Burbank last night and the supposedly new "Hollywood Burbank" branding was not in evidence at all -- not on signage, announcements, or anything. Not up on the airport's website either. I wonder if we changed the article's title too fast. A vote from the airport's board is one step in the name change process, but not the complete process. There will probably be a formal change at some future date. -- Jfruh ( talk) 20:44, 9 May 2016 (UTC)

Bob Hope Airport → Hollywood Burbank Airport – Without an agreed-upon naming conventions for airports, Wikipedia prefers the name that is most commonly used, as determined by its prevalence in a significant majority of independent, reliable English-language sources ( WP:COMMONNAME).
This very move was discussed in May 2016, and found to have been too hasty, before the name change had truly taken effect. But since February 2017, Hollywood Burbank Airport is the name used at the official website, and in all articles by the Los Angeles Times / Burbank Leader ( 1, 2), The Los Angeles Daily News ( 3, 4), San Fernando Valley Business Journal ( 5), Daily Breeze ( 6), and Curbed LA ( 7). Avelo does not list Burbank as a "hub." They do call it a "base." Furthermore, if you attempt to book a trip between Boise and Las Vegas, it won't allow it, despite both cities being served from Burbank. That would be the definition of a hub. RickyCourtney ( talk) 18:06, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
It’s also no more a focus city for Avelo than it is a focus city for Southwest. RickyCourtney ( talk) 21:41, 26 June 2022 (UTC)
