Agree that the article should be renamed. But I think the appropriate name should be
History of the Republic of Turkey, this mirrors the name of many "History of the Republic of ..." articles in Wikipedia (see
[1]). History of Turkey should include more ancient history, for instance, the Ottoman Empire.
