The sentence 'One of the tonic's unusual ingredients, "Diluted Acid Hydrochloric", is what is known as a "hydrochloric wash": a heavily diluted form of the acid that opens the arteries and allows the body's quicker absorption of the other ingredients, including the 12 percent alcohol "preservative".' should be removed, stated as an advertising claim if that is what it was, or referenced if there is as factual basis. Dudley Leblanc was a contestant on "You Bet Your Life", broadcast on February 28, 1951. The episode is available on DVD, in "Groucho Marx, You Bet Your Life. The Lost Episodes." (Disc 1). Leblanc extolls the virtue of campaigning in French, tells a joke in French-Louisiana dialect. The reference to "Hadacol Bounce" being put out or written by Professor Longhair is incorrect. Bill Nettles, wrote and recorded Hadacol Boogie and also wrote and recorded "Hadacol Bounce". According to Bob Cox's version: Legend has it that when asked why he called it Hadacol, LeBlanc responded, "Well, I hadda call it something." In other words, Bob Cox's account doesn't parenthesize the word 'hadacol' in the middle of the quoted sentence. So I think our version would be more clear without the parenthesis.
