Hydrochloric wash

The sentence 'One of the tonic's unusual ingredients, "Diluted Acid Hydrochloric", is what is known as a "hydrochloric wash": a heavily diluted form of the acid that opens the arteries and allows the body's quicker absorption of the other ingredients, including the 12 percent alcohol "preservative".' should be removed, stated as an advertising claim if that is what it was, or referenced if there is as factual basis. Agreed. I can find no reliable source - whether objective or as promotional claim - for the existence of this "hydrochloric wash". Gordonofcartoon ( talk) 18:49, 9 November 2014 (UTC) reply

Watch Leblanc on Groucho Marx television program

Dudley Leblanc was a contestant on "You Bet Your Life", broadcast on February 28, 1951. The episode is available on DVD, in "Groucho Marx, You Bet Your Life. The Lost Episodes." (Disc 1). Leblanc extolls the virtue of campaigning in French, tells a joke in French-Louisiana dialect. In response to Groucho's question "What is Hadacol good for", Leblanc answers, "Last year it was good for 5 million dollars". TriangleShirtwaist 15:32, 21 April 2007 (UTC) reply

"Hadacol Bounce

The reference to "Hadacol Bounce" being put out or written by Professor Longhair is incorrect. Bill Nettles, wrote and recorded Hadacol Boogie and also wrote and recorded "Hadacol Bounce". However, Professor Longhair did perform and record this song, but Bill Nettles is the Composer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.170.223.117 ( talk) 21:59, 27 December 2007 (UTC) reply

How Hadacol got its name

According to Bob Cox's version: Legend has it that when asked why he called it Hadacol, LeBlanc responded, "Well, I hadda call it something." In other words, Bob Cox's account doesn't parenthesize the word 'hadacol' in the middle of the quoted sentence. So I think our version would be more clear without the parenthesis. Regional assumptions, anyone?

What indications are there that Hadacol's alcohol content would be of more interest to Southerners than any other part of the country? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Papabill1945 ( talkcontribs) 06:05, 7 March 2015 (UTC) reply

History?

It would be nice to see a few dates in here, so we can place the Hadacol phenomenon in context: when it was developed, when it was first marketed, when it reached its peak, and so on. 2604:2000:EFC0:105:3C00:C9B0:8E77:C421 ( talk) 14:16, 30 June 2023 (UTC) reply

What WAS a Hadacol Caravan?

The brief section does nothing to explain what Hadacol Caravan was, and the links otherwise in wikipedia (like Hank Williams page) lead only here. Can somebody expand on that? 2A01:4B00:D307:A400:8070:4BCA:7125:B6CF ( talk) 12:39, 2 November 2023 (UTC) reply
