About notability: In my opinion a medical school is always notable. As a part of a university , it almost always gets a separate article if there's information available. As a free-standing one like this, it would certainly be notable, like all other institutions of higher education. Plans for one that have reached the stage of intending to admit students for Sept 09 indicate that a great deal of work and funding has already been accomplished--it's analogous to film that is well into production. That preliminary accreditation has been achieved is also highly significant. it does need references, of course, and some more information.DGG (

I think the refs you added all pertain to the LCME accreditation since they all basically are dated October, when they got that. I found the PA Bulletin notice of intent to give PDE accreditation, but can't find the actual PDE statement that they are accredited. (Obviously they must be....)

Yes, newspapers are reliable for that, & can be a good deal faster than updates on official sites. Note that its provisional accreditation--the formal one is later on after they actually begin. DGG (
