I am being repeatedly sabotaged in trying to list the criminal history of the other organizer of the Fyre Festival, Jeffery Atkins (AKA Ja Rule.) Any addition or reference I add is being immediately deleted. — Preceding

Read
WP:SYNTH. Any reference you add must mention the Fry Festival. Otherwise, you are making an implicit association that is not supported by the source.

Repeatedly trying to add this material without a good source (see above), much less no source whatsoever, won't work.

I have repeatedly added numerous citations and references. But apparently someone believes that only one of the two organizers of this event should be examined. Jeffrey Atkins was deeply involved with this event. Several reports by other employees of the festival have made clear that Mr. Atkins was very aware, in advance, of the conditions that existed, and was a major component of the decision to go forward with the event anyway. Sorry, but he doesn't get a free pass. — Preceding

McFarland's prisoner number
Why should Wikipedia users be told what his prisoner number is? Even though McFarland's a convicted felon and evidently an utter scoundrel, at least some of his information is surely private. How can it possibly be in the public interest for complete strangers to know what his prisoner number is?

I'm not sure I agree that it's private information, given that it's publicly available, but I agree that it's not appropriate, especially for an article about a festival, so I've gone ahead and removed it. Cheers! --

Thanks for removing it. I agree that it doesn't belong, but I wasn't able to come up with any Wikipedia based rationale, other than a lack of encyclopedic value. The issue has been resolved by deleting it, but I'm wondering if any more experience editors know if there is a specific Wikipedia policy regarding this issue?

Not all content disputes are going to have policy-based rationales that you can rely on. Sometimes it just comes down to editorial discretion. In this case, I don't really see policy dictating either inclusion or removal. The original poster may have been referencing
the presumption in favor of privacy, but I don't know if that applies in this situation, both because of the nature of the personal information at issue here and because the information is wholly out of place in this article. The only policy I can think of that addresses this would be
WP:NOTEVERYTHING, which holds that just because something is true and verifiable doesn't mean it should be included. Cheers, --

His prisoner information is perfectly acceptable information to include in the Wikipedia article. If it was removed and that information is known, then it should be added back in.

Norman's Cay
The article currently claims that the festival's announced site, Fyre Cay, "did not exist", but
the Netflix documentary says that the promoters were planning to use
Norman's Cay, which had indeed belonged to members of the
Medellin Cartel, and that, despite Norman's Cay's clear unsuitability, they changed to Grand Exuma only when the owners of Norman's Cay rescinded permission because the promoters featured
Pablo Escobar in advertising.
We also differ with Netflix on the question of what island Billy McFarland and Ja Rule purportedly saw from an airplane, inspiring them to put the festival on. Netflix says Norman's Cay and we say Grand Exuma.
Netflix also says that the promotional video was created on Norman's Cay.

Lineup
Would it be acceptable to include the
advertised lineup for the festival? The only performer mentioned in the current article is Blink-182.

Yes, that would be acceptable.
