Number of properties?

I know I'm a victim of the California education system, but does anyone else notice the page says eight casinos in cooperation, yet only count seven listed? Guy M ( soapbox) 03:40, August 1, 2005 (UTC)

    • Yea, well... The actual under is 9.5 or 10, depends on how you count an associate member. I dropped the 8 from the intro but left in the ten since that was right, but I think it should also be removed. That way if it changes, you update the list and don't need to mess with the article. • Has it changed? I wonder what the history of the grouping is? -- jpgordon ∇∆∇∆ 06:17, 1 August 2005 (UTC) reply
        • Well I just checked their site and it says "Comprised of eight downtown hotel/casino companies (representing 10 properties)" so 10 sounds correct. However if Boyd owns 3 casinos, I count 7 companies and not 8. So maybe this is not quite over yet. Vegaswikian 06:33, 1 August 2005 (UTC) reply
          • That is exactly where I got my list and language from. I would surmise that the "associate member" is counted fully. jpgordon ∇∆∇∆ 15:34, 1 August 2005 (UTC) reply

LED Lights?

I watched a documentary on this display once, and was surprised to learn that it actually doesn't use LED's in it's display. Instead it supposedly uses regular incandescent bulbs that are changed regularly. Can anyone confirm this? unsigned by 13:29, 16 April 2006 142.165.135.117

  • That was most likely the old display that used 3 bulbs for each pixel. Vegaswikian 21:42, 16 April 2006 (UTC) reply
    • Correct, that was the old display. the current display does use led modules. The modules now hold 24 sets of RGB leds in the about the same area as the old module which held only 3 incandescent lights one of each RGB. this change was made in 1994 during a 17 million dollar upgrade to the canopy. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 209.58.230.10 ( talkcontribs).
