I would think that if you are shortening his name, it is Hernández, not Córdoba or Cordoba, but I see our article does the opposite. Any advice from a native speaker or expert? - Jmabel | Talk 07:07, 15 February 2006 (UTC) reply

The million dollar question is, did Francisco Hernández de Córdoba discover Nicaragua (specifically the western portion thereof), or did he simply found it? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.34.250.110 ( talk •  contribs) 7 March 2006.
