Important note: It is NOT modern traumacare to aggressively replace blood loss with massive amounts of fluid! Will rewrite this but don't have time right now, sorry.-- Johan M 19:34, 24 September 2005 (UTC)
I just proposed a merge of Management of dehydration to this article, Fluid replacement. Most of the content on this topic is at oral rehydration therapy, which is the standard response to dehydration. Some information on this topic is at intravenous therapy, but that article also discusses using drugs as treatment and not just fluid for rehydration. I think that this article, "fluid replacement", should be the hub for giving an overview of all hydration treatments. Thoughts? Can I merge the management article here? Restarting a merge request from User:Blue Rasberry. The current MOD article is arranged badly and focuses too much on diarrhea. The FR article is a way better overview on MOD than the MOD article itself.
The information should go into two sections: "By mouth" and a new subsection "Diarrhea" under "Clinical uses". Artoria 2e5 🌉 10:35, 17 April 2024 (UTC)
