It's on the Warwickshire side. I believe the Coventry-Warwickshire border is actually located at the level crossing on Wheelwright Lane, around two minutes' walk from the school. Egdirf ( talk) 23:22, 20 November 2007 (UTC) reply

Only Avon and Lancaster were in use when I started in the mid-1990s. Only Lancaster was in use by boarders when I left in 2003. It would be more accurate to describe the cause as a gradual shift in role, rather than a sudden change. The school's function and student make-up changed dramatically between when I started and when I finished, just as it changed over the years before I started. Have now made a few changes to the article which should reflect a gradual rather than a sudden shift in role. Good to see they now have a website although it's a pity there aren't more references to back up the information. I'm wondering if the David Howe who authored the book about this school and the science fiction writer are one and the same. With all due credit to his writing efforts, I'm wondering if Paul Bowler and his sci-fi novel Frozen in Time are actually that notable for inclusion here. WAB Mag is an in-house publication from Warwickshire Association for the Blind, so I'm guessing its circulation is limited. I came across a couple of copies by chance last year, and I recall an interview in there with him. I thought I'd query this after this conversation on a similar topic of lesser known authors. I don't think Frozen in Time is published by a mainstream publisher, but I could be wrong. On the other hand there don't seem to be many visually impaired authors, so perhaps that does make him notable. Any thoughts? Paul MacDermott ( talk) 16:44, 8 June 2013 (UTC) reply

The notability of some of the entries in the alumni section seem a bit questionable to me. We have a couple of authors who as far as I can tell have only published one book each, and the founder of an organisation that appears to be little more than a social media group.
