The Sovereign Base Areas of Akrotiri and Dhekelia (the Cyprus British SBAs) are not a member (in its own right) of or otherwise (by virtue either of the United Kingdom or of Cyprus) part of the European Union (EU) and thus also of the European Economic Area (EEA), backed up by multiple sources [4] [5] [6] [7].
