(Reposted from User talk:Simon Bar Sinister) First of all, I do apologize for my mistake regarding which county Kissimmee is in. However, Wide World of Sports is not in the City of Kissimmee, even though its mailing address is Kissimmee, FL (mailing addresses do not always correspond to the actual municipality) see this map. Wide World of Sports is located in the unincorporated portion of the Reedy Creek Improveement District that sits in Osceola County. None of the Walt Disney World Resort is located in any incorporated cities other than Disney's two cities, Bay Lake and Lake Buena Vista. There has been quite a bit of discussion of the various WDW resort pages how to how the location of the parks / resorts / etc. should be listed, and Walt Disney World Resort was the agreed upon location. I'm opening discussion on the issue of how the physical location of Disney's Wide World of Sports should be listed and I am asking everyone interested to please participate and provide their opinions on whether it should be listed as Kissimmee, Florida or as Walt Disney World, Florida and whatever the final consensus that is how it will be listed.   • I feel that it should be listed as Kissimmee, Florida because that's how it's listed on their OFFICIAL website (See here) and as legally registered with the Osceola County Property Appraiser's records ( 1-See Here and 2-See here also)) so therefore it should be listed as Kissimmee because it listed it's address as Kissimmee and the county property appraiser's office confirms this. See [1]. Also, the two pages that you reference on the county site clearly show tax district 315 (REEDY CREEK IMP) and not tax district 200 (KISSIMMEEE). See the Advanced Search tab on the county search page for a list of tax districts. Apr1fool ( talk) 21:32, 1 September 2008 (UTC) reply
Doesn't matter their physical address is not listed as Reed Creek, Florida because there is NO such place, you need to go by their listed physical address which is Kissimmee and yes even though they are not technically in Kissimmee that IS their listed address and is how it should be listed. You keep talking about their physical address, but you keep quoting their mailing address. See this article about the difference between the two. Kissimmee, FL 34747 simply indicates the post office that handles WWoS's mail. As a matter of fact, this particular post office is located in Celebration, and not in Kissimmee. Try explaining to the people in Celebration that they really live in Kissimmee because their mailing address says so, or explaining to Walt Disney World (and the state of Florida, for that matter) that the Reedy Creek Improvement District and the City of Bay Lake don't exist simply because there's no post office bearing that name. Also, I refer you again to the Walt Disney World Resort talk page where this has already been discussed at length, and a consensus has already been reached. Per consensus established in the other articles on the Walt Disney World Resort, the only location reference here should be that of being within WDW. If you like, the parent resort article could be expanded to refer to the properties that are located within Osceola County, such as Wide World of Sports and the All-Star Resorts. -- McDoobAU93 ( talk) 03:17, 3 September 2008 (UTC) reply

Seriously are you guys f-ing retarded? Disney's Wide World of Sports is NOT in the Walt Disney World Resort in fact it's approximately 15-20 minutes outside the resort and technically it's not even on any part of the Walt Disney World Property, Further proof is that is when it was built and the land was owned by a private company, If it were in the Walt Disney World Resort the land there would be owned solely by Disney, because Disney does not sell land within it's boundaries only leases it, Additionally I believe that User:Apr1fool is using sockpuppetry to try and manipulate the article to his liking, if you look each post in this talk page are made in the same exact manner that User:Apr1fool writes. The only vandalism I can see is in childish name-calling. Please provide verifiable proof that what you say is true. It's pretty obvious that Simon Bar Sinister knows very little, if anything, about the history and development of WDWR. He obviously doesn't know about the numerous "companies" that Disney used to buy the land, and that all of them are part of the Disney Corporation. He obviously doesn't know about Disney's history of selling its land, while at the same time removing it from the RCID (which is why Celebration is surrounded by the RCID but not part of it). The fact that he states that WWoS is not part of WDW is a clear indication of just how uninformed he is. His entire justification for his edits is that he lives in Kissimmee, and therefore knows better than the rest of us. As for my manner of posting, it only makes sense that I would repeat the postings of other users because it is the consensus; that's what users do when a consensus is reached. Hello McDoobAU93 if you look further up in this post you'll see I posted a link to the contact information from the OFFICIAL Disney's Wide World of Sports website which states CLEARLY that their physical address is Kissimmee, as well as links to the Osceola County Property Appraiser's office. And if you will look through all the discussions revolving around the resort, you will see that the parent Walt Disney World Resort article fully covers the various cities and counties that the resort lies within. Further, consensus has been established to provide the city/state/etc. location for the resorts within the parent articles. ALL OTHER articles (theme parks, attractions, hotels) should reference back to the parent article and the parent article only. Thus, for this article, all that should be mentioned here is that WWoS is within Walt Disney World.
We are not saying that it does not have a Kissimmee address. We are not doubting that the property is listed with Osceola County. That subject has already been covered where it needs to be covered.

If you would like to discuss article content surrounding the location description of the Walt Disney World Resort and what it encompasses (or, as you state, it does not), please take the conversation to Talk:Walt Disney World Resort where those conversations have been centralized. I suggest that you bring with you some proof that shows that the WWoS is not part of Walt Disney World. Out of the piles of Disney-provided documentation that shows that WWoS is a part of WDW, I offer a memo from Reggie Williams that states Television continues to play a key role in our future and Disney's Wide World of Sports is now the most programmed entity from the Walt Disney World® Resort.. the 'external links, cnn lawsuit' article

This is an inappropriate use of the external links section. What *should* happen is that the lawsuit info should be incorporated into the article itself. Otherwise, it looks like CNN is a vital part of the WWoS experience. Once the appropriate summary paragraph is added, then the CNN link can be used as a valid ref/footnote and the external link can be removed.
