Needs a map

This article really needs a map to be added to help provide encyclopedic context. If this cooridor really exists, it must be defined geographically somehow. N2e ( talk) 17:42, 1 February 2008 (UTC) reply

Additional notable companies within the corridor

Other notable companies within the Dulles Technology Corridor for consideration are:

VW of America

Stub?

After making significant edits to the article, I removed the Stub template. Here are my changes. I'm not sure how to ask WP:WikiProject Business and WP:WikiProject Virginia to reassess the stub status, but hopefully they will. I looked into trying to add a map, but I don't know how to without violating somebody's copyright. -- JHP ( talk) 03:12, 16 February 2013 (UTC) reply

Boeing?

There's a regional office in Crystal City, which places out of this topic. TEDickey ( talk) 16:09, 20 February 2016 (UTC) reply

  • There are several other offices nearby, including in Fairfax and Chantilly. 173.66.11.108 ( talk) 04:04, 21 August 2016 (UTC) reply
  • There is a Boeing regional office located in Herndon <0.5 miles north of VA267

The topic is "Dulles Technology Corridor" (not "Washington Metropolitan Area"). TEDickey ( talk) 09:59, 21 August 2016 (UTC) reply

DTC isn't Crystal City

At least one link for "headquarters" confuses Northern Virginia with the Dulles Technology Center. TEDickey ( talk) 17:22, 2 November 2019 (UTC) reply

recent edits to lede

Besides being blatantly promotional, parts of the edit extended the geographic scope well outside the original topic without providing a reliable source. TEDickey ( talk) 00:39, 15 February 2020 (UTC) reply

It might help to notice that the term Dulles Corridor has been around a while. This 1985 article in the Washington Post for example, uses the term, with a different outline, but starting from the road: "...development has increased markedly along the Dulles corridor. The corridor is defined as the land that runs along the Dulles Access Road and its companion toll road,..." TEDickey ( talk) 00:51, 15 February 2020 (UTC) reply

70% statistic

This article claims otherwise about 70% of the worlds internet traffic running through Dulles. https://blog.telegeography.com/does-70-of-the-worlds-internet-traffic-flow-through-virginia Maybe the claim should be removed? -- Krynh ( talk) 22:56, 24 April 2020 (UTC) reply

@ Krynh: After looking into the matter further, I removed the statement from the article. You'll find tons of articles that repeat the 70% statistic, but no methodology or elaboration, which is suspicious. I put some notes at User:Vahurzpu/70 percent of internet traffic; I wouldn't be surprised if this was a case of citogenesis or at least of people dropping qualifications like dates or scopes.
