We wish to advise everyone that we (the Living Trust Network) have a copy of Doris Duke's Last Will and Testament posted on our website, which we believe is of interest to anyone seeking information about the life of Doris Duke. We have also discussed our desire to post a link to Doris Duke's Last Will and Testament with Wikipedia administrators [See User talk:Livingtrust], either under "references" or "external links." Last Will and Testament of Doris Duke. Wikipedia does not object to the link but has requested that we not put the link up ourselves since we are a commercial website. Instead, it has requested that we make it known that the Last Will and Testament is available, and anyone who wishes to add the link to the "reference" section or the "external links" section may do so. So, we solicite your help in adding the link set forth above. Thanks. Livingtrust 03:47, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
The articlesays she left $1.3 to Issac Newton. Well, is that 1.3 million or billion? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.103.82.207 ( talk) 14:11, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
This is one of those facts that either needs a reference or needs to be deleted. I looked up the will on the site listed under external links and could find no mention of any Newton, let alone Isaac. It is such an outrageous claim that is seems unfair to leave it there without some verification. Like2fly ( talk) 23:25, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
I notice that one of the sections in this article is named "Putting on the Ritz". What is the meaning of that as the title of a section in this article?? 165.189.169.190 ( talk) 20:47, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Why does the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation link (in this article), redirect to the same article? Either there shouldn't be a link in this article, or there should be a separate article on the Charitable Foundation. recursive linking probably isn't the right thing here... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.179.123.10 ( talk) 16:48, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
Can't we have a close-up pic of her? There must be plenty that are public domain. 109.154.27.194 ( talk) 13:14, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
The article makes no mention of the accusations, rejected, that she was murdered: http://articles.latimes.com/1996-07-25/local/me-27885_1_doris-duke

The Net worth section has this complex, ambiguous sentence that needs clarification:
Does the phrase "then estimated to be worth $250 million" refer to "her daughter" or to "a fortune"? Even when that is clarified by re-writing the sentence--preferably splitting it into two sentences--we still have a problem, as follows.
While we're looking at this section, what is the justification for using the abbreviation "J. B."? Presumably, it refers to James Buchanan Duke, but it seems too casual for an encyclopedia article. There is no foundation for that abbreviation in either this article or James' article; and the latter attributes a different nickname to him.
Another phrase that draws my attention is "What many forget to include in Duke's holding was her priceless collection of artwork". Whose opinion is that? It strains credibility to think that anyone with any business estimating the estate's value would overlook such obvious assets.

This deserves a section of its own (and not in "early life"; she was in her 50s at the time). What's in the Vanity Fair article is barely summarized by what we have here. I will attend to this. Daniel Case ( talk) 04:32, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
