Fair use rationale for Image:Downtown Disney (Florida) logo.png

Image:Downtown Disney (Florida) logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Disney Springs

When does the name become official? Is it already or is Disney waiting until the first new phase opens? I was just wondering if/when the article should be moved, but I wasn't too familiar with the project timeline. WikiRedactor ( talk) 22:21, 4 June 2013 (UTC) reply

Starting this week, the guide maps will indicate the new name. We should probably begin transitioning this article to the new name. Pleasure Island has already been marketed as the Landing for a few months now. ICberg7 ( talk) 16:49, 18 August 2015 (UTC) reply

Name changes on Tuesday (September 19, 2015) according to this Orlando Sentinel Article. As such I am requesting a move below. Elisfkc ( talk) 17:51, 24 September 2015 (UTC) reply

The long listings of stores are out of place here, see WP:NOTDIR. Any that haven't attracted significant third-party commentary will be removed. Also, per WP:SEEALSO we do not list anything that is mentioned in the text here. -- John ( talk) 16:28, 6 April 2016 (UTC) reply

  • I took a hack at the blatant advertising that was there. More needs to go, I think. -- John ( talk) 22:54, 6 April 2016 (UTC) reply

Please stop the vandalism

Even the closure of Walt Disney World is mentioned at the bottom of its page. 2601:447:4100:C120:64C9:FCA5:6A6E:A292 ( talk) 15:56, 19 March 2020 (UTC) reply

Please take a look at Wikipedia:Vandalism#What is not vandalism. Vandalism is not defined as edits that you are opposed to. This is a short-term closure of certain stores, and unless it extends past the end of the month or the entire complex is closed, we do not include this per WP:NOTNEWS. epicgenius ( talk) 15:58, 19 March 2020 (UTC) reply

Yeah it is. Even there is even a Walt Disney World#Closure section on that page, and I was willing to compromise by not re-including my previous lead edit to that article. 2601:447:4100:C120:64C9:FCA5:6A6E:A292 ( talk) 16:01, 19 March 2020 (UTC) reply

All right, then let's compromise and not add this to the lead. I will revert my previous edit and add this back to the history section. epicgenius ( talk) 16:04, 19 March 2020 (UTC) reply

Good compromise which I will cooperate with. 2601:447:4100:C120:64C9:FCA5:6A6E:A292 ( talk) 16:05, 19 March 2020 (UTC) reply

( edit conflict) There is no "Closure" section on Walt Disney World, there is a sentence mention of the pandemic in Walt Disney World#Timeline. As stated before, Wikipedia is not a newspaper and shouldn't contain an entire section about the current closure. A sentence would work but not an entire section. -- LuK3 (Talk) 16:06, 19 March 2020 (UTC) reply
LuK3, I have moved this info into an existing section as a compromise. I think a sentence in the history section would work, but definitely not a mention in the lead. epicgenius ( talk) 16:08, 19 March 2020 (UTC) reply
Thank you Epicgenius, I didn't see your previous reply. Seems good to me. -- LuK3 (Talk) 16:09, 19 March 2020 (UTC) reply
