Note the anon comment above is exactly why Scarlett Johansson shouldn't be listed as a "representative" of Danish Americans. An individual who has equal affiliations with two different ethnic groups, especially one with which she appears to identify with more, shouldn't be pigeonholed into being poster-child for one over the other. Can anybody seriously identify a source that's not a blog or Wikipedia redirect that calls her a "Danish American?" [1]? Opening up larger discussion here: TALK:German American. (1) Last I checked being Jewish is not a nationality, and (2) I can find references (blogs?, not sure?) to that she hold dual nationality and that she may hold a Danish passport -- holding dual nationality is not uncommon for descendants of scandinavians -- whether that makes her a Danish-American is a different matter -- not sure there is an official definition of such matters, and if there is could you explain it to all the "Irish" who lives in the US.

The concept of racial purity is outdated, simplistic, and has no bearing on reality. How exactly does Scarlett's Ashkenazi Jewish heritage outweigh her equal proportion of Danish heritage? Could one not form a rebuttal against your claim, that Scarlett's father is a "full-blooded" Dane, therefore invalidating her status as a person of Ashkenazi Jewish descent? This is entertaining the idea that one can be "full-blooded" anything, especially in the modern developed world, which is laughable. The distant Levantine ancestors of Ashkenazi Jews almost certainly married gentile Europeans, including many that might be described as "Germanic" (Ashkenaz meant Germany in medieval Hebrew), absorbing a fair number of such neighbors into their own communities. The Bibliography section is all links without articles..., Did they once reference something which a later restructure have changed their URLs, or have it never worked? I made a small edit to the census date. It should be good and clear now. I did have a question though. Why are there red-links for cities that have not been made into articles?
