Segregation of blacks out of the article

Why? this violates Wikipidia terms of service.

Otherwise the article shall be named "white southern culture". Don't try to perpetuate the same nonsense that has been going on. Wikipedia is not a sandbox for racist sentiments. Correct the article or there will be a very public and high profile focus on this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ‎ 172.56.10.215 ( talkcontribs) 00:42, 27 April 2017 (UTC) reply

Anonymous, I would advise you to read Wikipedia:No legal threats. Dimadick ( talk) 06:50, 10 May 2017 (UTC) reply
Possible NLT (stretching it a bit) aside, the IP has a point. This article should not be about the "white south" which doesn't even exist. Toddst1 ( talk) 13:16, 8 June 2017 (UTC) reply

Religion

There was a dead link on the part about how often do Southerners go to church. I don't know how to properly edit the article so I will put the link to a reliable source to back up the religiosity of Southerners here. https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2016/02/29/how-religious-is-your-state/?state=alabama — Preceding unsigned comment added by OldManMcSlippy ( talkcontribs) 21:21, 9 April 2019 (UTC) reply

People/Anglo Americans

The last sentence in the section is, "Also important is the French community of New Orleans dating back to the 1880s." This date is wrong. New Orleans was founded by the French in 1718, but had been part of the U.S. for almost 80 years by 1880. I assume founding date of 1718 was what the writer was intending. -- Taumsalk ( talk) 05:18, 9 November 2020 (UTC) reply

TV Shows

I am new to this and have never done this. Forgive me if I do not respect all the proper protocols for a submission. I had to note that the television show, "The Waltons" was not listed. It was set in Virginia and it has many episodes that expressly address Southern themes and history. Regardless of any one episode, the entire series is about a family in the rural post-Civil War South but pre-World War II era (essentially the Great Depression). For many people of certain generations that aren't from the South, this television show might be the most prominent source of their conception of the region. Leaving this show out of the list seems like a monumental oversight. Floyd7904 ( talk) 14:37, 2 January 2024 (UTC) reply
