I'm wondering how someone expects sources to be listed for the article. It is generally common knowledge written in many many reference books. Do you want Billboard reference books listed? George Slivinsky 04:45, 14 April 2007 (UTC) reply

Death

"He died at 1165 East 229th Street, The Bronx, New York, where he had been living... McPhatter was a resident of Teaneck, New Jersey, at the time of his death." Doesn't this seem contradictory? Half of it has no citation, and the other half has a citation that is 404. Lacking a clear answer and support for it, I'm taking both out for now. Dgndenver ( talk) 03:20, 23 May 2016 (UTC) reply

There are many citations available for the fact that he died at a hotel in the Bronx. However, I don't know where the reference that he was living in Teaneck at the time of his death - though he had lived there previously - comes from, and I suggest that that part be removed.
