What's with the colon? Why isn't this just called "Denominations of Christianity"? [Jengog]

LDS

The LDS movement's being discussed twice, once in the "Western" and once in the "Other" section. Surely these should be comsolidated. Alai 16:25, 5 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Undue weight / article topic

I would expect this article to be about Christian denominations as a structure or institution, their typical programs and activities. Instead, we seem to have a listing of Christian denominations in paragraph form. I question whether this is a worthwhile article subject and form. However, I especially object to the Christian_denomination#Modern_history Modern history section, which seems like a very strange selection of obscure groups. Why these groups? There are many thousands of Christian denominations. Why single these out? Daask ( talk) 05:12, 28 November 2020 (UTC) reply

Ha Sueng-Moo's View of Church History

I am unclear what the significance of the "Ha Sueng-Moo's View of Church History" chart added to the article. At a minimum, it appears refundant to the original chart. If there are issues with the original chart, I'd rather they be discussed and corrected than competing charts added. More importantly, it is not clear who is Ha Sueng-Moo? Does his view reflect a majority or a significant minority opinion? Is its inclusion here undo weight? – Zfish118talk 14:51, 22 January 2022 (UTC) reply

I've removed the chart because I don't fully understand it, but there seem to be inconsistencies. For instance, there is an unbroken line linking the early church to the "reformed church", which does not seem to be a majority scholastic view. I'd recommend discussing the chart at WP:Wikiproject Catholicism. – Zfish118talk 21:14, 25 January 2022 (UTC) reply
