This
level-5 vital article is rated C-class on Wikipedia's
content assessment scale. It is of interest to the following WikiProjects: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

I've changed the rating to C because:
#1 The article is not written in clear English.
#2 The article cites too few sources for the detailed information given
#3 The article is not in any discernible order
There is a lot of good information here, it just needs to be better organized/worded. Wuapinmon ( talk) 20:09, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Carlos was not Gian Gastone's default heir: A 1713 ruling by the Tuscan senate decreed that Anna Maria Luisa de' Medici, Gian Gastone's sister, would succeed him for lack of male Medicis. However, the powers-that-be disregarded it and appointed Carlos -- and later Francis Stepehen of Lorraine -- heir-apparent. -- Jack1755 ( talk) 23:31, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Charles III of Spain high resolution.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on August 1, 2013. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2013-08-01. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. Thanks! — Crisco 1492 ( talk) 00:29, 17 July 2013 (UTC)
Concerning: "Unlike his twenty years in the Italian Peninsula, which had been very fruitful, the era on mainland Spain is often regarded with less joy."
I live in Spain and study at his namesake university. I'm not aware that anyone considers his reign over the plain in Spain as anything other than successful. He did, of course, have some matters with the Jesuits of which to take care, but I think the sentence quoted gives a distorted view of Charles's time on the Iberian peninsula.
Considering the weaselly nature of the sentence, as well as the contradictory nature of the sentences following, what are the steps necessary to remove this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.76.114.99 ( talk) 21:42, 19 November 2019 (UTC)
The exact dates for Charles III's rule as Duke of Parma and Piacenza, and perhaps for other dates as well, seem to be disputed. The Spanish wiki article has different dates to the English page for Charles III, with hard to access sources on the English page that might verify that claim. So I'm asking people if you guys can volunteer and help me look through any and all resources/references to find these exact dates. I would gladly appreciate that help. There seems to be a good argument to be made for Charles III being the primary topic for the title Charles III. He was king for 29 years of the Kingdom of Spain and the Spanish Empire, a vast realm. Within his realm he held significant political power and left a lasting legacy. There can be no doubt that he is the historically most significant monarch of the name Charles III. -- Sveinkros ( talk) 02:45, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
