What about a hack chaise? Google's top hits for that term all refer to Austen's Pride and Prejudice. That's why I looked it up , in fact. And does anyone have a picture?-- tbc ( talk) 00:22, 28 May 2008 (UTC) reply

The OED indicates that this is compound name rather than a separate type of carriage. It's a chaise pulled by a hack (a horse let out for hire). Mighty Antar ( talk) 00:09, 12 September 2011 (UTC) reply

Merge with Cabriolet (carriage)

Maybe I'm just missing something, but I fail to see the different between Cabriolet (carriage) and Chaise. Are they synonyms? Can we merge the two? - Themightyquill ( talk) 12:29, 12 April 2016 (UTC) reply

Merging Horse and buggy might also be considered. - Themightyquill ( talk) 13:34, 12 April 2016 (UTC) reply
