Carolina Chickadee photo

A photo by Jim Stasz was added from the USGS/NPWRC web site. One has to watch the images on that site--not all are taken by US govt. employees--many are reproduced on that site with permission, and I believe that is true for that photo. See this page, which is basically their copyright statement:

This page is a composite of the efforts of many people who have donated photographs, songs, and other information. The photographs, videos and songs are used with permission of the authors. They have provided permission for viewing images and playing the sound files in conjunction with use of this website, but permission must be obtained for other uses of the files. Please do not copy photographs, videos or songs without their permission!

See also the list of photographers, which lists Jim Stasz as a private individual. (Even a USGS employee might have taken a photo on their own time and then allowed its use.) That's not a great photo, at any rate. I've replaced it with a similar photo of the bird (my own), and this should be replaced when a better one, with clear licensing, is found. (I've got a pair nesting in my yard this spring, so maybe I'll be able to get some.) Apologies if I've misinterpreted the licensing information on the USGS site, or if permission was otherwise obtained. I saw no indication of this on the upload information. -- Cotinis 11:49, 20 May 2006 (UTC) reply

Last paragraph

Why is the last paragraph (about mating and hybrids) exactly the same in text (prose verbatim) as the reported source? - 128.103.10.111 ( talk) 15:56, 16 June 2010 (UTC) reply
