Not according to the article you linked to. @ Nihonjoe:: thank you for your expansion to the Wildlife section of the article. I hope you're willing to do a bit more work on it.

1. when I look at the refs, they offer up WebCite archived versions. For me, these links fail to work, or work well, because they seem to include an expired session key or other errors. You may want to revisit your process to see if you can create persistent links to the archive content. Also, as long as the original links still work, you may want the system to offer those links to users first. I'm not absolutely sure, but I think that's done by including a parameter that says |deadurl=no in the cite.
2. Your archive dates say 2015 but when the link is retrieved is gives a date in 2016. Am I misunderstanding how this works or did you consistently put in a year-old date?
3. Since I got here because I once tried to disambiguate the word ringtails, I'm curious how you got a count of two species of ring-tailed cats. The species list cited only appears to have one. Am I looking at it wrong?

@ Jmcgnh: I have no control over what you see when viewing the archived versions. They appear fine for me (as do the original links that are also included, and I'm not on the computer where I did the archiving). If you want the originals presented first, you'll have to convince people to change the formatting of the {{ cite web}} template.

Thanks for catching the date, it was just a typo. I've fixed them. How would you get to this article searching for ringtails? This article isn't about ringtails. And the list shows the " ringtail" and the " northern racoon", both of which are in the same family. I didn't write that part, so I assume that's what they meant. @ Nihonjoe::Perhaps you're not familiar with WP:DPL efforts to clean up links that inadvertently point to disambiguation pages instead of to the presumptively proper destination. One finds oneself looking at articles all over the place, not necessarily things one has a particular interest in. Because ringtail was a link like this, in this article, I tried to figure out – based solely on what I can look up – which of the choices on the page was the correct one, if any. I failed at the time and had to leave the {{ dn}} tag.

But I continue watching pages afterwards, so I was still watching this one.

Anyway, if you didn't do it, someone is going to have to reconcile counts in the article with counts in the sources.

I did an experiment and adding |deadurl=no to the {{ cite web}} does in fact present the original url first.

The Climate section is cluttered and presents a lot of data in a difficult to understand way. Additionally, some of the sources cited are from 2011 and newer sources should probably be found.
