NPOV
I'm doing a substantial revision of this article and expect a number of edits to occur over the next few days. Writing on any location (especially one like Callaway) can easily have POV sneak in. While I try my best to avoid this (see
Talk:Ibiza), please help out to keep a NPOV in this as the article builds if possible.

I took a stab at this myself. The first version read like an advert.
Rklawton 18:20, 18 June 2006 (UTC)reply
Thanks, I had left stubs for the different locations within the Gardens, and someone (random IPer) essentially pasted in content from the website. I marked it as such and was planning on fixing it up tonight, but you beat me to it. Thanks for looking it over, there will certainly be more content to come
Matthew Stuckwisch 23:31, 18 June 2006 (UTC)reply
It looks good to me, it is a resort after all. Im not sure you can write about callaway w/o making it sound like an ad any more than you could write about Disneyworld and make it sound the same way ya know? Callaway is the only thing of outside interest around here except for the FDR institute and Little White House in Warm Springs, GA. Take Care - Mark- Woodbury, GA —Preceding

Images
The images look nice, though they could do with a bit of color balancing. Also, the images refernece features that aren't included in the article. Someone familiar with the gardens should take a shot at adding those references in the appropriate places.
Rklawton 18:20, 18 June 2006 (UTC)reply
Both of those will be referenced as I complete the article. That pavilion is part of the Overlook Gardens / lake (I want to say Whipperwill lake, but I can't swear to it).
change beach & golf
growing up nearby, this was a popular summertime beach with 1,000s on weekends and packed on July 4th ; today it seems changed to be only used to a far lesser degree ...
why ? ... use ? cover in article ;; also, the adjoining golf course was always maintained to be as emerald green and good as any golf course anywhere but this is not discussed in article - gladneys mill sr

Article issues remain unaddressed; nominator did not respond to pings despite activity elsewhere on-Wiki.
5x expanded by

Needs further work. There's uncited text in the article which should be taken care of, and having the word "beloved" in the DYK hook looks like a
WP:NPOV violation. QPQ is done, and 5x expansion confirmed. The fact that Herschend co-owns Dollywood isn't in the article, so that parts of those alts is problematical. There are also some tone issues - instructions to the reader such as "Pay attention to the instructor and wear gloves", "but once on the course, you're responsible for yourself", and "If the Discovery Course was too difficult, the Lake Course should not be attempted" should not be present. There's also a tendency to go into not-needed details, such as the list of items with the pioneer log cabin. This needs sizable further work, and probably a bit of a trimming in places - at time this diverges from an article on to the Callaway Gardens to a
Wikivoyage description of what you can do there. There's really way too much detail for most of these attractions - an encyclopedia shouldn't be recording height requirements for the TreeTop Adventure, the length/time table for all the trails, or a list of everything available for rent at the beach.

* I've revised the hooks as suggested and trimmed details from the article. Please advise.

Mgreason: - There's still a lot of uncited text in the article. You're going to need to have pretty much everything in there cited to a reliable source.

Hog Farm: The nominator added references to the article. Have your sourcing concerns been addressed? Note that the nominator hasn't edited since May 10th.

I'll need to give it another read-through.
Hog FarmTalk 13:57, 25 May 2022 (UTC)reply
, not perfect but passable. Could use a copyedit, but that's beyond my skill/available time right now.

@
Hog Farm and
Mgreason: too much of this appears to rely on primary sourcing; while I've made significant cuts, I'm not quite comfortable with a company article sourcing so much content to its own website.

- @
Theleekycauldron: - It's now below the 5x expansion as there's been now at least two rounds of content removal required by the DYK review.
Hog FarmTalk 13:10, 31 May 2022 (UTC)reply
@
Theleekycauldron: - And it's currently at 17kb per prosesize tool. IIRC it was barely over the line at the beginning, and between your removals and some removals of promotion-y material I requested earlier in the DYK process for this one, it's now well below.
Hog FarmTalk 17:35, 31 May 2022 (UTC)reply
Mgreason, going forward with this nomination is probably going to require not only adding enough prose to meet the 22kb mark, but also trimming out most of the primary sources still in the article. Pinging
Sammi Brie, who can adequately source a tree's bark – Sammi, is there a reasonable path to right the ship here?

Without the Columbus GA paper (one of the last missing McClatchy papers in newspapers.com), I suspect that the first few things I found on the newspaper side, travel guides etc., are not going to be very useful for this.

looks like this one isn't gonna be addressed – multiple pings to the nominator have been left unanswered, despite their activity elsewhere on the wiki, and this doesn't look overly salvageable.
