Appropriateness of discussion of phosphate mining

Phosphate mining and its processes are discussed in detail in this article about Bone Valley. I think this section on phosphate mining should put into its own article, and a link to this article can be placed in this one about Bone Valley.-- Beezer137 ( talk) 19:08, 15 March 2008 (UTC) reply

Green Swamp

Why do none of the articles on this area (this and Peace River) talk about the Green Swamp, 560,000 acres of protected watershed/wilderness that are extremely important for wildlife and our water. http://www.swfwmd.state.fl.us/education/interactive/greenswamp/greenswamp.html Tomfriedel ( talk) 01:57, 6 July 2008 (UTC) reply

Mostly because the Green Swamp is well to the north of the mining area. The only mine that ever came close to the Green Swamp closed in the late '70s (Tennoroc). Same goes for the Mighty Peace, it starts at Lake Hancock which is 10 miles south of the Green Swamp. Albeit Saddle Creek empties into Lake Hancock, Saddle Creek is also south of the Green Swamp, its headwaters are in Tennoroc. 173.171.5.181 ( talk) 21:32, 18 April 2012 (UTC) reply

no map?

Topic: Geographic region; Map: None;

Shouldn't Wikipedia standards include that any/all articles on geographic regions come with maps? Rtdrury ( talk) 23:08, 23 July 2017 (UTC) reply
