I added sections to this page, but could not come up with a better title for there eating habits, so please feel free to change it. But i think the page is broken up appropriately. Millertime246 ( talk) 04:21, 23 February 2012 (UTC) reply

The page could use a few improvements. Pest status does not really go with diet, so it should be its own section instead of a subsection. Also, it does not say how to identify a blue catfish. It would be good to have that added. BaconIsLife ( talk) 05:45, 2 July 2016 (UTC) reply

I went ahead and added a few things to improve it. BaconIsLife ( talk) 07:07, 2 July 2016 (UTC) reply

Catfish Critique

This article provides facts that are referenced with appropriate references. Some links no longer function( http://dnr.state.il.us/pubaffairs/2005/May/Catfish.htm), could use some updating of references. Everything in this article is relevant to the blue catfish, previous editor helped by including more information and dividing it appropriately between subsections. This article is neutral, neither promoting the catfish nor destroying its reputability/potentially providing scary or frightening details about these massive fish. The information comes from groups like the Integrated Taxonomic Information System and Fishbase, a global species database on fish. The tone and viewpoints are neutral, overall informative and knowledgeable.

This article does not mention that the Blue catfish has any predators, although it does according to other websites( http://www.chesapeakebay.net/fieldguide/critter/blue_catfish). Also, this article could include the reproductive cycle of the Blue catfish, which is not mentioned at all. Abegum5 ( talk) 00:08, 9 February 2017 (UTC) reply
