  • Oppose. Towns in Australia are always identified by their name and state, not by their shire, not by their LGA. Introducing by something other than state will make it sound like not a town or suburb, but some other thing, such as a building. Bethungra, Canterbury is not in the format always used for a town or suburb, so by the format it is immediately recognized as not a town or suburb. It is probably something like a named building.   • Oppose per SmokeyJoe, though I understand the motivation for this nom. The solution might be to rename the homestead so it's not disambiguated like a town? Perhaps Bethungra (homestead)? -- В²C ☎ 21:30, 31 January 2019 (UTC) reply
    That wouldn't resolve the ambiguity issue with this title. If (as apparently argued by SmokeyJoe) adding the state is so common that it can be considered an alternative term then WP:SMALLDETAILS may apply. Crouch, Swale ( talk) 21:48, 31 January 2019 (UTC) reply
    There is no ambiguity. However, the article Bethungra, Canterbury might be better titled Bethungra (house). It is just a 122 year old house. Also, this title may read to some to mis-imply that it is located in Canterbury. I have stripped redundant forked content from Bethungra, Canterbury, the house is not directly significant to the history of Canterbury, New South Wales. -- SmokeyJoe ( talk) 22:10, 31 January 2019 (UTC) reply
    There is ambiguity since the hose is located in New South Wales and while the Canterbury in Kent is better known, there doesn't seem to be a Bethungra in it (or any other Canterbury). While recognizably and confusion may be a factor with respect to better known topics than the qualifier added, it isn't unacceptable. Newton, Surrey isn't in Surrey and Queens Park, Ipswich isn't in Ipswich. A quick look at Category:Houses in Sydney shows that most are disambiguated by the settlement their in so the current disambiguation for the house appears to be correct (I can't find a NC).     I think this town must be left alone, and ideally the other article should have been put at Bethungra (house). I think this 3-4 bedroom house is not a homestead, and it is a stretch to call it "historic". Whatever, the point is that this proposal is opposed.
