Bay to Breakers is both a serious foot race and a fun festive event. The selection of photos in this article does not represent these important attributes of the event. This article needs some photos on the serious side (e.g. the winners crossing the finish line) and the fun side (like the costume competition, centipedes & floats and the Footstock concert in the Polo field etc.) Kowloonese 20:37, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
How is this the "longest consecutively running footrace"? The Boston Marathon has been run every year since 1897. Is this some obscure and unexplained distinction between a marathon and a "footrace"? 18.26.0.18 03:24, 1 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Bay to Breakers route changed in 2013 around the last mile. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.1.192.10 ( talk) 22:49, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
It is noted that this is an annual footrace based on tradition. Ommitted in this article is any mention of a "traditional" date, if there is one, or any date whatsoever. T.E. Goodwin 01:11, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
The one footnote on the page, refering to the date of the race (third Sunday in May) says it was retrieved September 9, 2007. I'm writing this on June 20, 2007. How, pray tell, was this accomplished? 140.147.160.78 17:47, 20 June 2007 (UTC)Stephen Kosciesza
Is it appropriate to have a link to just some individual's website of photos? It's not a particularly large or comprehensive collection--just a couple of dozen photos of the 2008 race. I'm not sure what use it is, except to give the site's owner a link. 71.163.37.245 ( talk) 11:10, 29 May 2008 (UTC)Stephen Kosciesza
The general manager for the ING Bay to Breakers 12k race submitted a letter to the editor describing how the sponsors are not responsible for decision-making about race logistics and management. The decision to enforce these policies was made by those who plan, organize and manage the race throughout the year.
It should also be noted that there are many Bay Area residents and athletes that are in support of the new policies.

As an experiment (which may be deleted at any time) I've created a .kml showing the B2B route (or what I believe it to be). Can someone with Google Earth (or another KML capable geobrowser) try clicking this link (it goes to a script on the Wikimedia toolserver, that's already used a bit on Commons and is quite safe) and verify firstly that it opens in Google Earth okay for them, and secondly that it's a pretty accurate rendition of the route? Thanks. -- Finlay McWalter • Talk 20:09, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
