American Assyrians or Assyrians in the United States reads better than throwing in a whole host of names such as Assyrian/Chaldean/Syriac, which is convoluted and makes no sense. The theological difference between all these names can be explained later on if necessary. But Assyrian is both the oldest and most easily recognizable name, Syriac derived from it, and Chaldean is only very recent. Hello! The article says the the forst wave of Assyrian Americans were those who imigrated because of a genocide. I wonder that can we really wide the definition of Genocide therm as much as we want? For example can we define the Revival Process of the Bulgarian Communist Party as a genocide? Or any other massacre or forced deportation?
