The picture of a cross section is NOT a palm but is a cross section of a stem of a Strelitzia nicolai, not a member of Arecaceae. I have deleted the picture accordingly. Sean 124.187.121.107 ( talk)
I've uploaded a picture of a palm trunk cross-section.
From where did palms originate? There is a lot confusion with the terms "indigenous to" and "native to" when searched. How long does a species have to grow in an area to be considered "native"? 70.50.4.84 ( talk) 19:16, 24 May 2022 (UTC)

Palm's inflorescence are hard, flat and narrow spiral fiber, usually found on the palm tree ALOTazeez ( talk) 22:26, 26 August 2022 (UTC)
