In "The Maid" episode of Seinfeld, Elaine mentions that she cried every night when she first moved here because she had the area code 718. Should this be confirmed and added to the page? — Preceding

The Maid (Seinfeld), at timestamp 02:38.

Yes the region map needs to be edited (unfortunately I don't know how to) because the red area extends north to Westchester county and east to Nassau county, neither of which fall under the 718 area code.

I think someone needs to edit that region map. Its marking lower westchester county as a part of NYC in the red also - Someone who pays attention to detail —Preceding

Why alter the descriptive colloquial expression "outer boroughs" to the blander "other boroughs"? It's so rich in geographic implication. Oh, and by the way, urban planners often refer to mid-Manhattan and lower Manhattan as "the region's core," further adding to the idea that NYC's other four boroughs are its "Outer Boroughs."

I personally think the page layout looks better now, however if so the changes should be applied across all New York State (or all?) area code pages, as to keep a consistant look. Also, if I am not mistaken the supposed geographic coverage for 718/etc in the image extends to Westchester and Nassau counties (North and East). This is in conflict with the information in the article, not to mention incorrect. Perhaps this should be noted on the images page (however the problem is present in all New York State area code images). Maybe the author has appropriate source images so this can be fixed across the board without too much problem. And sorry, I was not logged in before, but the latest page edits were made by myself.--Ec- 14:34, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
