Recently, @ John from Idegon: restored a statement saying there was a statue of Roger B. Taney at the State House from this article, demanding a source for removing it from the article [1]. This is ridiculous, seriously WP:POINTY and specifically called out as WP:TE. Sources are required for adding information to an article or restoring it - per WP:BURDEN, not removing material - especially unsourced, obsolete material.
In case it was in doubt, the removal of this statue garnered extensive international press - from The Economist to Smithsonian Magazine as any cursory search would show. I have reverted this unfortunate edit. Toddst1 ( talk) 06:11, 27 December 2017 (UTC)
First, provide a source, and second, mention it was removed - dont remove mention of it.
