Wondering how to edit this U.S. County Entry?
The
WikiProject U.S. Counties standards might help.
has anyone noticed it seems a little awkward that the opening paragraph says that albany county is located "in the general vicinity of albany, ny" um, seeing as how the city of albany is WITHIN the county of albany, how is that "the general vicinity". i dont know, it just seems weird and awkward
File:Albany County ny seal.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot 19:11, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
The history section is just a long list of border changes, and gets monotonous boring and repetative, and monotonous boring and repetative too. How about more on what went on countywide in history, some modern controversies about the large size of the county legislature, of the court cases around redistricting after the 2000 census, the rise of the suburbs as a force in the Democratic party and the weakening of the city's machine in picking candidates for countywide office (see- Soares for DA). I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Albany County, New York's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "USCensusEst2018":
I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT ⚡ 19:08, 20 December 2019 (UTC)
