Question

I was wondering if former Assistant secretary of the Navy, Dwight Davis' summer home is still there. Maybe there's an historical marker.

Notable residents

This section needs to be cleaned out. Some of these people seem made-up or insignificant. I'll see what I can do when I get a chance. Let's try to find some references for everyone too. Makeemlighter ( talk) 08:47, 17 July 2009 (UTC) reply

The famous Polish pianist Josef Hofmann also had a house in Aiken, SC. There is a historical marker on Laurens Street. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.134.192.10 ( talk) 16:04, 11 January 2012 (UTC) reply

Mixed Oxide Fuel Fabrication Facility

There should be some mention that the Mixed Oxide Fuel Fabrication Facility that is being built near Aiken is highly controversial, and highly expensive - costs could be as high as $30 billion before it is fully operational in 2040 [only $4.5 billion has been spent as of 2016.
