Child pornagraphy

The man was a child pornagrapher in the most literal sense, and the article seems to downplay that event. Is it the language of the law where he was charged? “Child sexual performance” sounds like a euphemism to me. WiggyWamWam ( talk) 14:06, 12 January 2024 (UTC) reply

Upon following up on one of the sources, (an article from Jezebel), it includes reporting from the court case, wherein the assistant DA describes the video:

Assistant District Attorney Sara Weiss told the court about a video in which 6ix9ine is seen fondling the breasts and smacking the butt of a 13-year-old who was being penetrated by two adult males at the same time—orally and vaginally. Weiss quoted 6ix9ine as saying in the video, “This is what we do, this is how we rock.”

In the wiki article as it is, it just says that he smacked the child’s buttocks and filmed others having sex with the child, and then includes 6ix9ine’s claim that he didn’t have sexual contact with the child— All downplaying the facts and favoring 6ix9ine. I don’t know why this article is locked but someone with access needs to change a hell of a lot about it. WiggyWamWam ( talk) 14:23, 12 January 2024 (UTC) reply
Yes, "Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance" is the language of the law. The portion you're quoting was added to Jezebel's article as an "Update (October 26, 2018, 8:25 p.m.)". That update was not yet present in Jezebel's article when it was used as a source for our wiki article about the subject. It is also included in this October 2018 article by Jezebel. I will create an edit request in another section below to add the information that's currently missing from our article. -- 62.166.252.25 ( talk) 19:57, 3 April 2024 (UTC) reply

Remove website from infobox

I suggest removing the website from the infobox. It is neither a live website, nor more than merchandising. If, for some reason, we need to keep this link in the article, it could be moved to the External links section, with a clear description that it's an Internet Archive copy of the old store. -- 62.166.252.25 ( talk) 18:49, 3 April 2024 (UTC) reply

Additional context for the performance charge

Section 6ix9ine § Child sexual performance charges provides context for the "Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance" charge. The source we use was "Retrieved December 18, 2017" and "Archived from the original on April 5, 2018". A more recent archived copy of that website, from 24 January 2024, here shows us that an "Update (October 26, 2018, 8:25 p.m.)" was added to Jezebel's article. The update includes this text: "Assistant District Attorney Sara Weiss told the court about a video in which 6ix9ine is seen fondling the breasts and smacking the butt of a 13-year-old who was being penetrated by two adult males at the same time—orally and vaginally. Weiss quoted 6ix9ine as saying in the video, “This is what we do, this is how we rock." Since we do consider Jezebel a reliable enough source to provide context for the charge - almost the entire paragraph, including the video descriptions - we should update our article to reflect the source's update. In other words, to make my edit request concrete in a "please change X to Y" form, here's what I believe should be done. After the paragraph that starts "In a November 2017 interview [...]", we should add: "At his sentencing, assistant DA Sara Weiss told the court that Hernandez did fondle the child's breasts and smacked her buttocks while she was being double penetrated." -- 62.166.252.25 ( talk) 20:23, 3 April 2024 (UTC) reply
