Should the article be about the planned full 2Sides album or Side 1?

Earlier today, the user Lil-unique1 changed the article infobox and lead to represent solely Side 1 and not the full album Derulo has planned, claiming that "We can't speculate that the album will come out in the format promised". My personal opinion is that it's not speculation nor going against WP:CRYSTAL as Derulo has explicitly said he has a full album planned and the album is being split in two and released in two parts. Although, having said that, there is no confirmed release date for the full album nor do we know which tracks will be on it (if it will just be Side 1 and 2 combined, or some from both and new tracks, and so on). What are users' thoughts on this being done? Should the article be moved to 2Sides (Side 1) or stay where it is and encompass the full project? Well, looks like Lil-unique1 has made that decision for everybody. @ Another Believer and Tbone49: I guess neither of you are opposed? Ss 112 15:06, 5 November 2019 (UTC) reply
Ss112, I'd assume one article for the album (if just being released in segments and not standalone EPs), but I have not done any research about the topic so I don't have a strong opinion. --- Another Believer ( Talk) 15:17, 5 November 2019 (UTC) reply

Critical reception section?

Most album articles have a Reception or Critical reception section with critical reviews. Shouldn't there be one here as well? --- Another Believer ( Talk) 20:34, 9 July 2020 (UTC) reply

It was released without promotion or even a single and was supposed to be a 2-part EP collection that collectively made an album but Derulo left his label. It looks like he didn't receive promotional support for the album and the second part when unreleased. Even Allmusic which almost always carries reviews doesn't have one for the album. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }- 20:53, 9 July 2020 (UTC) reply
Lil-unique1, And no "Composition" section either? --- Another Believer ( Talk) 20:57, 10 July 2020 (UTC) reply
This is what information was available. Derulo decided to release the album with songs that were not previously known about. It was a digital only release, no songs were premiered before the EP's release, and none were promoted afterwards. Most outlets didn't pick it up or comment on it beyond it's existence. I haven't omitted anything deliberately. Feel free to add if you came across anything. ≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }- 21:29, 10 July 2020 (UTC) reply

Two GA nominations are currently in the albums category from you, so I thought I'd take one of them on. -- K. Peake 17:14, 28 July 2020 (UTC) reply

Quick fail

It saddens me to do this, but the article simply is way too far from meeting the GA criteria. Firstly, it is miles off being broad in coverage, not having any sections for music or reception and yes I have read the talk page, but not every single article can become a GA; some just do not have enough information about them so can't be expanded properly for GA status. Second of all, the lead is poorly written and finally, the prose in the body is definitely poor too. Maybe renominate at a later date when there has been sufficient coverage of the topic to get the article up to the required criteria. -- K. Peake 17:42, 28 July 2020 (UTC) reply

Kyle Peake thanks for taking it on. I'm not surprised - I thought I'd use this as an acid test to see whether topics of limited coverage but with the potential to be written well would be able to pass GA. Unfortunately Derulo left his label, there was no promotion for the album. Seems like it was more about completing contractual obligations. Fully accepting and expectant of this outcome. ≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }- 18:35, 28 July 2020 (UTC) reply
Lil-unique1 Thanks for replying even after the failure, I am glad you took it professionally and it is an understandable experiment; song/album articles need to have information about the actual music and lyrics at all times. -- K. Peake 18:45, 28 July 2020 (UTC) reply
