Game six description

The major call is getting undue weight. It's taking up over half of the entire game prose. It's an important point in the game, but either it should be pared down or more info about the rest if the game should be added. Jmj713 ( talk) 04:18, 12 June 2012 (UTC) reply

That's what happens with recentism. With any other controversy, my edits are designed to pre-empt any user who attempt to add the gist of the content, but in a way that does not conform to WP:NPOV, WP:V, and the like. Eventually, it should be scaled back when the editing dies down, similar to Reaction to officiating in Super Bowl XL, which eventually was merged back to the main Super Bowl XL. Tell that to Devils fans ... and the many pages we ended up having to semi-protect within the last couple of hours. Amazingly, this specific page has not been hit yet. Of course, I'm still looking for an official explanation by league, like what they did in last year's Final with Aaron Rome's hit in Game 3, or what they did not do with Alexandre Burrows after Game 1. Rosters

There appears to be no rhyme or reason as to who is listed on the teams' rosters. For example, the Kings roster lists players like Cliche, Jones, and Muzzin, who did not play at all for the Kings -- either during the regular season or in the playoffs. However, a player like Richard Clune is omitted. There is no logical reason to include Cliche, Jones, and Muzzin but exclude Clune. The official roster provides no help in this regard since it lists a number of "non-roster" players as scratches (e.g., Hickey, Andreoff, Toffoli, etc.). Nor is there any logic for including Scott Parse. The following names should be removed from the Kings list: Cliche, Jones, Loktionov, Muzzin, and Parse. Agreed. The rosters should be of those that actually participated in the Finals. Or denoted with "(did not play)" as we have on some other Finals rosters. I'd also like the rosters to include stats for the Finals (games played, goals, etc.). Jmj713 ( talk) 00:50, 2 February 2013 (UTC) reply
It does not list "non-roster" players as scratches. Muzzin, Cliche, and Jones were called up to the Kings roster during the 2012 Stanley Cup playoffs and appear in the team picture, the sources that they were added to the roster during their playoff run have been cited in these players' biographies. Loktionov played in the regular season and 2 playoff games. Parse played in 9 regular season games and got injured. I took out the reference that Boulton and Janssen of the Devils, and Parse and Loktionov of the Kings; that they appeared, and replaced it with a blank space to indicate they did not play. Were Clune, Toffoli, Andreoff, or Hickey recalled during the playoffs and in the team picture, or were they non-roster players? It only lists Kings players who have been added to the roster, no longer lists Janssen and Boulton as appearing for New Jersey and no longer lists Parse, Loktionov, Drewiske, or Westgarth as appearing for Los Angeles; although Drewiske and Westgarth had their name added to the cup due to a successful petition. 108.0.244.168 ( talk) 01:36, 1 June 2013 (UTC) reply
