The arrival of Lucas

This was really the biggest story of the year in a lot of ways. Yes Oscar Robertson was great. Bill Russell won again. Wilt Chamberlain was fantastic. But Lucas lifted his team to within a few games of Boston that first year. As much as Oscar was lauded, Lucas did elevate the team without dominating it, which was his style. Had Cincy kept Boozer and signed Siegfried, who knows?
