  • Cleveland finished with a 12–1–1 win-loss-tie record win-loss-tie should have the ndsahes too.
  • Graham was named the AAFC's most valuable player after leading the league in passing yards and touchdowns, with 25. I would link touchdown and passing yards, and possibly add in the passing total.
  • Gillom could kick the ball further than most punters of his era. a specific reference here would be nice.
  • Can you link "extra point"?
  • Can you link "interception"?

  • Quarterback Otto Graham was replaced by Ermal Allen, who was in the game for two of the Browns' touchdowns and intercepted a pass while playing on defense. To me, this is a bit confusing. Can you link Allen, and mention the position he played on defense? To me, it makes sense to change "in the game" to "threw for" or two touchdowns, or whatever the case may be.

    • Added that he passed Alyn Beals and Lavelli. I also rephrased it somewhat, because it's not 100% clear that he surpassed them in this specific game. It only says he was the league's leading receiver. -- Batard0 ( talk) 17:00, 10 August 2013 (UTC) reply
  • Attendance was boosted by the presence of about 25,000 black fans who came to watch the Browns' three black players, Motley, Bill Willis and Horace Gillom. I'm not sure about this sentence, did the 25,000 fans come specifically to see those three players? What does the reference say?
    • The source says: "Among the crosscurrents was the presence of four outstanding black players in the game and the presence of 25,000 black fans at Yankee Stadium. Just as the presence of Willis, Motley, and Gillom on the Browns galvanized thousands of black fans in Cleveland, so the presence of exciting and talented Young on the Yankees galvanized thousands of black fans in New York. In fact, the black fans who came out to Yankees games provided the team a big boost in its attendance battle with the NFL Giants, who did not sign their first black player until 1948." It seems the source is saying they weren't really there to see the Browns' black players so much as the Yankees' one black player.     • I think they should. I had copy-pasted the titles in there, and they didn't have endashes. I guess in some sense it's wrong to change the source, but if using endashes for scores is our style, I think we have to go with it.
