Wasn't said in the Young Allies one-shot, and I don't recall it being explained in Thunderbolts either off the top of my head. -

Assessment up-dated, it is a Start/C so I'll leave it at C. Needs a lot more references though. (

Whitewash Jones
Just voicin' out my opinion... I believe that the creator(s) of the Golden Age Young Allies were rather racist... Look at one of the charcters. His name is WHITEwash Jones, but his an African American (black...)! I find the name and the portrayal of Whitewash insulting to African Americans...
Kirby and Simon didn't were rather racist-- actually, Kirby created great africanamerican superheroes (with Stan Lee) like Black Panther! But the 40s were a racist time, and people had many prejudices. No Simon and Kirby, but society in general. Will Eisner, C.C. Beck, films in general... africanamerican were comic characters. Hopefully the times changed, but we have to remember that was society in general (people, laws, popular culture, etc.) who was racist. — Preceding

Support the original proposal, perhaps with a merge to the
Young Allies (Marvel Comics)#Heroic Age section; a merge to [List of Marvel Comics teams and organizations]] isn't unreadonable, but I think that that topic is too broad as a target.
