Interesting how the "Jewish Holocaust" has its own category. Is there something special about Jewish deaths? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.73.239.106 ( talk) 10:24, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
The Holocaust was the genocide of approximately six million European Jews during World War II, a programme of systematic state-sponsored extermination by Nazi Germany. Two-thirds of the population of nine million Jews who had resided in Europe before the Holocaust were killed.-- Woogie10w ( talk) 10:50, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
I'm not sure that the Holocaust should be included in World War 2 casualties; it wasn't a result of military action, as Civilian casualties suggests. 70.71.166.230 ( talk) 03:15, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
