I haven't had a chance to investigate in depth yet, but it looks as if Whitey Herzog's birth date is not only 10 years off, it seems that he is also still alive. — Preceding

Managerial Table
Greetings. Could someone please help me in creating a new table for Mr. Herzog's managerial record. I want to create a big table with each season he managed having its own row. For example, check the tables on guys like
Tony La Russa or
Dave Roberts. Can someone help me with this? Thank you.

World Series
Herzog should have the 1969 World Series included in his awards box. He was the director of player development for the Mets that year. — Preceding

It is time to reconsider Whitey Herzog’s box. Go to 1969 World Series, it lists him as a hall of famer on the Mets. Go to Brian Cashman, Brian Abraham, Kim Ng and others. They have titles in their info box.

It’s absurd his World Series ring won’t be included from 1969

Instead of saying "it's absurd",
Capriaf, you might could explain why you think it should be included, and ask your edit-war opponents for their opinion. You could start an RfC. You could seek dispute resolution. Etc.

It goes in because he was a high ranking member of the Mets when they won. Go to the 1969 World Series page, for hall of fame members it says him. That’s why.

If you actually want to convince someone, I suggest trying a bit harder, in what one might consider a cooperative tone.

That last comment was pretty cooperative. You just disagree. I gave a reason. In the 1969 World Series page, it tags Whitey Herzog. He was a high ranking member of the Mets. How is that not cooperative? No one has given an actual reason why it doesn't go in. Brian Cashman and Brian Abraham have their non player/coach accolades in the info box. Why can't Whitey Herzog? He was the director of player development and is credited for developing many of the Mets late 60s/early 70s stars.

The infobox is intended for players, managers and in some cases coaches. Front office info is not even displayed in the infobox unless the person is a current GM. Herzog was not even the Mets GM so I have no idea why anyone would think randomly including 1969 World Series info should be there.--

Go to Brian Cashman, it says as assistant GM. Go to Brian Abraham, it shows 2013 & 2018 in the info box. It is proper. Go to 1969 World Series, it notes he is a hall of famer who was part of the Mets
