This sounds ominous. I've attempted to paraphrase most of the info to the best of my abilities (although it's kind of difficult when the sentences are short and filled with 'titles' which can't really be paraphrased). Note that I do not know what material was actually removed, so I cannot judge whether I have made the same error. Would appreciate someone looking at it. --talk2Chun(

Is this subject (Viral Acharya)
notable? His CV[1] (which I'm not sure is a reliable source per
WP:IRS) seems impressive, but I'm not able to judge whether it's sufficient to satisfy
WP:BIO or
WP:PROF. His appointment as Deputy Governor of the
Reserve Bank of India seems relevant here, but I'm not sure whether that's enough to pass
WP:BIO. Comments would be appreciated. I don't want to prematurely nominate this page for AfD.--talk2Chun(

Weak support for claim to notability. It's a borderline case and I can see why you were unwilling to make the call as a sole editor, T2C, but ultimately I just barely fall down on the side of "notable" on this one. I agree the bulk of the sources are CV or biography-oriented, and thus not really RS for the purposes of establishing notability. However, the Indian Express piece and the two Economic Times articles certainly are RS--nor do they mention Acharya incidentally, but rather they are completely focused upon him as a topic, with the latter two in particular providing significant detail about his work and approach to his new post. This certainly is not a case of soaring notability, but I feel that, at a minimum,
WP:GNG/
WP:BASIC are satisfied here, which is all that is ultimately required. .

Weak support for notability I was sent here by bot. I agree with Snow's weak support for claim of notability above, based on these sources:
[1],
[2],
[3] and based on the fact that the bibliography section notes multiple books written by Viral Acharya, which are published by notable publishers, not self-published. --
