A fact from Uri Gordon (anarchist) appeared on Wikipedia's
Main Page in the Did you know column on 17 November 2008, and was viewed approximately 907 times (
disclaimer) (
check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that Anarchy Alive!, a 2007 book by
Oxford-educated academic and anti-authoritarian activist Uri Gordon, has been cited as a "defining text" of the contemporary
anarchist movement?
Given that Gordon has standalone Wikipedia pages in four other languages, it is reasonable for him to have a page in English, rather than a redirect to his book. Furthermore, as the fact from 2008 on this talk page demonstrates, he has been a relevant public figure for many years.
