If possible I would like to find out if this ship was used to transport my family in October, 1950
from Germany to New York? Thank you. —Preceding

USS General Harry Taylor (AP-145) → USNS General Hoyt S. Vandenberg (T-AGM-10) – final name of the ship, and name used for the reef when she was sunk, so still the name of the ship; also her service as radar and communications ship is more significant than her history as a transport. She served longer as the Vandenberg than any other name. --Relisted. —

Support - Ship spent most of her career as General Hoyt S. Vandenberg, that should be the article title.

Support proposed move. I agree with
Parsecboy. The other names will redirect here anyway.

Support, but the (T-AGM-10) appears to be unnecessary, as there's no other ship named
USNS General Hoyt S. Vandenberg. "USNS General Hoyt S. Vandenberg" would be fine.--
